We offer the following 12 types of cookies for our packages:

These are the 12 most popular cookies at Some Crust Bakery that also ship very well. While we do have a larger selection in our Claremont store, certain fragile cookies cannot be shipped. If your favorite Some Crust cookie isn't listed above, but you would like it shipped to you, then you can call the bakery to find out whether or not it is a cookie we will ship at an extra charge.

Which cookies are in the automatic assortment?

One of each of the 12 different cookies is included in the automatic assortment. We highly recommend choosing the automatic assortment. This is because all of the Some Crust cookies are so delicious that we encourage you to try all of them not just one of them!

Can I choose a special assortment of my own?

Of course! What kind of gift package would it be if we didn't let you pick what you were sending/getting! You can pick and choose from the 12 types of cookies to make your personalized assortment. Whether you want half the order to be one kind of cookie and half to be another, or you'd like a more complicated assortment (like three of this, and four of that, etc.), we are more than happy to send off the assortment that makes you the happiest! Just put a note in the comments section or call the bakery.

Do you sell or send out samples?

We handle how we deal with samples on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in receiving a sample of our cookies, please call the Bakery and speak to Tasha regarding your request.

Which of your cookies contain nuts?

Refer back to the question "What types of cookies to you offer?" All cookies containing nuts are shown there.

If I have a nut allergy what precautions are taken?

We at Some Crust take nut allergies very seriously, we are as careful as is possible when dealing with cookies that have nuts vs. cookies that do not. Not only do we try our best to keep it safe for customers, but take extra precautions due to having two employees with peanut allergies. That being said, we of course cannot guarantee that everything that does not have peanuts in it has no peanut residue 100% of the time, but we have not had (that we are aware of) a nut related accident yet! If you are to place an order, please note in the comment section that there is a nut allergy! That way, the bakers can be even more aware when making, baking, and handling the cookies.

How are your cookies packaged?

All cookies that are shipped are individually hand wrapped to ensure that you receive the freshest cookies possible!

When are the cookies you send out baked?

The cookies we ship out for orders are baked fresh the morning the order is filled! Baking them fresh the day the order is to be shipped helps to ensure the freshest cookies possible as well.

What conditions are best for storing the cookies once I receive them?

If you are planning on eating all of the cookies in a short period of time, storing them as simply as in the pastry box they came in is a fine. We encourage you eat the cookies while they are fresh and newly received, this is when they taste the most delicious! However, if you need to save them for a long period of time or had a large quantity shipped to you in order to keep them stocked, you can place them in a container and store them in the freezer until it's time to eat them. They will still be delicious Some Crust cookies when they come out!

How long can the personalized pail message be?

The personalized message on the gift pail can be up to 40 characters including punctuation and spaces. You can have the message written on up to three lines, but the message cannot exceed the 40 character maximum.

If I have a personal card at home that I want to put in the package is that possible?

It is possible to accommodate situations such as this if you are able to physically bring the personal card into the bakery. When handing the card to a clerk, be sure to tell them the following things: 1. the card is for a Some Crust Gifts package order that has been placed and 2. the name given on the order. Without that information the clerk cannot put your card in the correct location. Cards cannot however be mailed to the bakery to be placed in a package. This is due to the endless complications that can take place once you add several middle men to the situation.

My note card message was too long, it won't fit in the provided box, what can I do?

Don't worry! This happens... so long as you are not requesting that we write a novel of a personalized message (message should be able to fit comfortably on a 4X6 not exceeding 5 lines of writing), you can write "SEE COMMENTS" in the area given to write your note card message and proceed to write your personalized note card message in the Comment section of the ordering process. Please keep in mind that each note card is beautifully hand written not printed out from the computer, so keeping the length reasonable is much appreciated.

Which gift pail is right for my cookies needs?

• We have gift pails and packages for every occasion!
  For the students in your life: The Cookie U Care Package is the perfect way to let your student know you care! This package not only comes with the retro lunch pail and the 12 giant cookies, it includes special packaging for shipping. The shipping box comes decorated with multiple stickers that catch your student's eye and automatically lets them know they got something special! And during the holidays check out the Cookie U Holiday Pail.
• For the friends in your life: The Friendship Pail is a great way to keep in touch with and let your friends know they are special!
• For the love of your life: For those you love more than words can express, we have the Love Pail! What better way to say I love you than with a personalized pail of delicious cookies!
• For just letting a special someone know you care: Our regular Gift Pail is a great way to go when you are looking for a way to brighten up someone's day just because you care!
• During the holidays: Send the people you care about our Holiday Pail during that special time of year. Nothing tastes better that some fresh baked cookies sent with love during the holidays!

How are the gift pails packaged?

Each gift pail is hand packed with great care to ensure the safest journey possible wherever it may go. The packaging begins inside the pail. The cookies are placed between layers of bubble wrap giving them a secure but padded environment. After the cookies are packed into the pail, the pail is slipped into a protective sleeve and then placed in the shipping box. Once the pail is placed inside the shipping box, we proceed to fill the box with peanuts and/or bubble wrap until the package is secure. Then off it goes to its lucky recipient!

How are the "Just Cookies" orders packaged?

The "Just Cookies" orders are packaged very similarly to the Gift Pails. The cookies are placed in between layers of bubble wrap inside one of our classic pastry boxes. These packages contain more cushioning due to the way they are shipped. After the pastry box is securely packed, we close and tape the box then place it in a shipping package that is custom fit to the pastry box thus ensuring a safe and "shaken" free delivery.

Do I get a personalized note card with a "Just Cookies" order?

Of course! All gift packages from Some Crust Bakery come with the option of a personalized note card. Just let us know what you want to say, and we'll make sure it is included in your package!

Do you send an invoice for your cookies, or are all payments made upfront?

All personal package orders are paid for in advance. If you are placing a large company order and have questions regarding payment, please call the Bakery for further instructions.

What form of payment do you accept?

Currently online we are accepting payment in the form of Visa or MasterCard credit payments. We are currently working on including American Express, so please check back in the near future regarding this card. If you come into the bakery, we will also accept payment in the form of a check written to "Some Crust Bakery Gifts", or cash for the exact amount.

Is your checkout process secure?

Yes!

How long does it take on average to ship an order out?

After you place an order, we generally ship it out next day if they are no problems with the order. However, if it is a heavy ordering season (Christmas, Valentines, etc.) your order may not be shipped out next day. All orders are filled in the order in which they were received unless another plan has been worked out with you and the bakery and approved.

What days do you ship?

We ship our packages out Monday thru Friday (before 3pm) using USPS Priority Mail Service or UPS. The reason for not shipping after 3pm of Fridays or on Saturday is due to us wanting you to receive the freshest cookies possible in your order. If we ship an order out after 3pm on Friday and on Saturday, the package spends too much time sitting in the post office going no where. Since our cookies are made without preservatives, this waste of time in transit may affect the experience we want you to have while enjoying our cookies.

What qualifies for "Local Delivery"?

Our local delivery option is only for the use of the Claremont Colleges. If you are sending a package to a student at the colleges the delivery is free. Anywhere else (even in Claremont) shipping charges apply.

Can I put a rush delivery on my order?

Yes. The way to do this is select the UPS option Next Day Air. During heavy mailing seasons (Christmas, Valentines Day, etc.) your best bet is to order as early as possible seeing as all mail carriers are extra busy at those times of year and when the package leaves our store it is in the mail carriers hands.

Can I have a specific delivery date?

We cannot control the exact delivery date of shipped packages through USPS. If you would like to have a package delivered to the colleges on a specific day, you must specify this in the comment section and call the bakery to make sure it can be approved.

What service do you use to ship your cookie packages?

To ship our packages we use two mailing services: USPS Priority Mail and UPS. We only offer the quickest mailing options so that your cookies arrive as fresh as possible.

Can you ship outside the United States?

Yes, we can ship packages outside the United States. The shipping charge varies though according to where you are shipping it. If it is not a military mail package, please call the bakery for a shipping price.

Can you ship to military addresses?

Yes! We now ship overseas to the troops! To select this shipping option, choose "Ship to Troops" from the shipping options.

Does someone need to be home in order for the package to be delivered?

We have selected that packaged can be dropped off even if someone is not home, however it is then up to the mail carrier to determine if it is safe to leave the package.

If I received the wrong order what do I do?

If you receive the wrong order just give the bakery a call and we'd be happy to assist you!

How can I cancel or make changes to my order?

If you'd like to cancel of change your order, just call the bakery and let us know. If it is more than a 24 hours after you ordered it, and has already been sent out there is nothing we can do.
